**Due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) our playgroup has been suspended until futher notice. We thank you for your understanding and support as we navigate our way through this challenging time.**
The parent information and support group meets twice a term to support families with a child with Down syndrome, chromosomal difference, developmental delay or disability.
Groups are held primarily on Fridays in Leabrook, a central location so that families from all of Adelaide can attend. Mornings are chosen so that country families can attend to other commitments in the afternoon and on the weekend.
Parents, siblings, grandparents and others are all welcome. Children participate in games, play and activities in indoor and fenced outdoor spaces where adults share their experiences over morning tea.
An information session is provided on topics of interest such as sleep, stages of development, play, social skills, key word signing, early intervention, navigating the NDIS, accessing community services, kindergarten and school.
Our purpose is to provide support and information to families of babies and young children in the preschool-age group and an opportunity for families to meet.
